The recent build isn't posting, but the DRAM light is on?
Hello everyone. I've assembled a system using a combination of used and new components. I'm seeking assistance to ensure it functions properly for posting. My setup includes an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 5500 graphics card. As soon as I power it on, the DRAM light activates immediately.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. You state buying both used and new...we'll need you to specify which parts are used and the age of each part. If you've purchased an used PSU, that's not a good idea.
It as soon as I power it on, it just turns on the Dram light.
Are the rams populating slots A2 and B2, per your motherboard manual;

Yep, sorry about that. I'll send it in this message. Regarding the specs, it includes:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (new)
Cooler: AMD stock cooler (new)
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F gaming Wi-Fi II (used, purchased for 89 bucks, over 100 with tax and shipping)
16 GB 2x8 2400 MHz Corsair Vengeance LX DDR4 RAM (new)
Storage: 1 TB SanDisk Ultra 3D SDD and a 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Green HDD (would work if it functioned)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 (used from $5 HP, previously in my Alienware)
Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart 600W PSU (new)
Chassis: Case is unknown; it's from around 2004 (used)
Operating System: Tiny 11 (to meet requirements despite having a 3rd gen i7)
Monitor: 24" Onn Gaming monitor with 180 Hz and HDR
I've used A2 and B2 but they perform similarly.
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F gaming wifi II (used, purchased for 89 bucks, over 100 with tax and shipping)
Was it marked as not working or for parts? If yes, you may need to check the board thoroughly for any scratched PCB or loose components.
PSU: Thermaltake smart 600W PSU (new)
The manufacturer is Thermaltake, the model belongs to the Smart series, and the power rating is 600W. Since there are several units in this series, which one did you get?
Chassis: The case is not specified; I know it dates back to 2004 and is used.
I recommend breadboarding the internal parts—just the board, CPU, cooler, RAM, and discrete GPU and PSU—to test for functionality.
If that doesn’t work, try re-flashing the BIOS on the motherboard.
OS: Tiny 11 (used to meet system requirements due to having a 3rd gen i7)
You can install Windows 11 without activating it. Reusing an older OS drive from another device is likely to cause problems.
Hey there,
Run a test on the RAM without using any windows with memtest86+. If you notice errors after a few tries, it probably means the RAM is faulty. Are these included in a matching set? Also, if I were you, I’d want quick RAM—around 3200mhz or higher, preferably 3600mhz. Your system is running much slower than expected, with about 20-30% lag and even more in some games.
