Removing the gimbals from the wings lets you mount the mantis. I personally don’t rely on gimbal mounts much. After getting comfortable with nose control, they offer little benefit. The 3x size 3 weapons aren’t impressive, but you can still deliver strong firepower. Only the Cutlass fits comfortably, and the Hornet handles well. The Hornet isn’t weak; it’s just that the Super Hornet’s turret gives it an edge. You could save money or resources by swapping a nose turret for a size 3 gimbal instead. I’d love to see a size 4 option so the mantis can stay on the wings. When AC 2.0 arrives and larger weapons and mounts are common, Hornets become even more effective.
This update will give you more rec than expected. The developers intend to lower the per-game reward in the next patch (1.11), but it will be a gradual adjustment. If possible, it's wise to set aside some money now and avoid spending it quickly, since building bigger amounts will require more patience later.
It's good to hear. 50,000 RECs should cover the cost of renting my gimbals and badgers.
I intend to experiment with the super hornet move using 5 neutron s2. I’m okay with a bit of mischief sometimes, otherwise I’m fine. I’ll keep subscribed, which means I shouldn’t face any issues with replay options given how much I play.
You handled the situation well, both by chance and strategy. Your moves were sharp—almost like a pro who played with us before. I was close to taking down two opponents and was on the verge of finishing them when you intervened from behind. You’ve done this before, so your tactics are solid. The game really depends on awareness rather than pure combat skills. Keep playing that way; Corvin will have someone to worry about.
haven't explored the M50 yet, but I think the 350r tops the game at 300m/s. The M50 and Mustang Omega are around 280, while Mustang Gamma hits 270, Gladius sits near 250. They’re clearly improving speeds—otherwise there might be legal issues with Origin Jumpworks for misleading ads, especially since the commercial claims breaking the sound barrier at 343m/s on Terra. I could try it but can’t live without them
