Hello, I attempted to configure my RAM to the advertised rate of 3466MHz through the BIOS by turning on XMP. When the system restarts, it returns to the default speed of 2400MHz. The BIOS shows XMP disabled and the RAM speed set to 2400MHz even after adjustments like lowering the speed or increasing voltage. What steps can I take to maintain the 3466MHz performance? Specs include a motherboard from ASRock, HX434C16FB3AK2 RAM, Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 5 2600, and a Sapphire Radeon RX 580 with 8GB memory. Power supply is a Thermaltake SMART 600W unit.

It could be related to your issue, but I experienced the same problem with an ASRock Taichi x299 board, and a BIOS update resolved it for me.

The CMOS battery on the motherboard keeps power to the firmware controlling BIOS and saves BIOS configurations. When the battery fails, saved settings can't be retained. For BIOS modifications that don't preserve saves, replacing the CMOS battery might be necessary.

I refreshed the bios, and the overclocks are holding this time. I recall updating before but was using a 2019 version, possibly making a mistake then. This round I double-checked the latest release to confirm it worked. Thanks!
