The Rainbow 6 Siege servers are currently unavailable.
The Rainbow 6 Siege servers are currently operational. They recently received a major update, which was released today (or tomorrow), so there should be no ongoing issues.
It seems like you're asking about the servers you're using. Could you clarify which ones you're referring to?
This means UPlay continues downloading multiplayer material while completing background work. You may enjoy single-player mode until it finishes.
The single-player experience in that game is just a joke. Mostly, the whole first month was hit by terrible server problems—almost like it wasn’t a real server at all. Ubi should be held accountable for releasing a multiplayer game that didn’t work properly.
I've encountered an issue where it repeatedly redirects me to Europe and Brazil even though I'm on the US east coast. The wait times and ping are extremely high, only becoming noticeable when I engage in gameplay and miss a shot due to being behind. So far, there have been no issues with the core game mechanics or previous bugs. Ubi did a good job fixing them.

They mentioned it’s a temporary solution until they release an update that lets you change servers without editing files. I’m in Israel and sometimes connect to South American or Northern European servers. The game is really enjoyable, but for smooth play we need those servers to function properly!
