Did you set up the AMD chipset drivers and enable the 'Balanced' power plan in Windows? Also, is your processor consistently delivering 3.6GHz or can it reach higher speeds?

Check Windows Power Settings or another menu—sometimes the option shifts there. If not, it could be a software glitch or hardware issue. Don’t assume it’s just your CPU reading wrong.

Which motherboard and BIOS version are you using? The 5000 series can put cores to sleep during idle even without the power-saving plan.

I'm running a Gigabyte B550m DS3H with a fresh Windows setup from a new SSD. The speed dropped to 2.2GHz, which is normal, so the hardware seems okay. It might be an issue with the drive itself. Thanks for all your help! Cheers!
