I’m referring particularly to *Tales of Berseria*.

I recognize that many Japanese video games suffer from poor PC adaptations, so I wanted to inquire if anyone could offer assistance. The game repeatedly minimizes itself when activated in fullscreen mode (without causing a complete failure). Although I can restore it, it immediately reverts back to minimized form after a short period. It performs adequately in windowed borderless display, however, I prefer the performance offered by fullscreen.

I obtained this title through Steam and have validated the game files. I’ve also deactivated the Steam overlay and experimented with modifications to the configuration file. Two specific lines appear relevant to this issue: “screenmode=fullscreen” (adjusted within the game settings) and “fullscreen=false”. Altering the latter from “false” to “true” provided no resolution. I've attempted several adjustments within the Nvidia control panel, but nothing has proven effective. The only other title I’ve encountered a similar issue with was *NieR Automata*, which was subsequently resolved through a mod.

For context, here is my system configuration:
LG 32GK650G-B QHD 144Hz monitor (the game caps at 60Hz)
GTX 1080 Ti (drivers are the latest version)
i7-7700 @ 3.60GHz
16GB RAM

I’m seeking any potential recommendations or solutions to this frustrating problem, which I haven't yet been able to resolve.

A key factor in utilizing windowed display is to avoid purchasing inexpensive Japanese titles. 😉
