Hey everyone, I've been dealing with this problem for a while now. I've checked almost every discussion on Reddit and YouTube about it. I thought I'd try to tackle it myself! My PC has been around for a few years, and recently I started noticing random monitor shutdowns even when the audio was still playing and the computer was running. I had to force shut it down to get it back up, but after 30 to 50 minutes, it would come back on—only to stop working again within a week or so. Sometimes I've gone weeks without any issues, but now it's happening again and it's really hard to play games.

I've tried several fixes: fresh driver installation with DDU, installed a protected version, reset BIOS settings to defaults with some tweaks, changed registry settings to 10 and 60, cleaned the fans and sockets, dusted and cleaned the PC for malware, used different cables, and even cleaned out the monitor. I've also updated the AMD drivers and removed old ones.

Here are my specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- 32GB DDR4 RAM
- AMD ASUS 6700XT
- 500 GB CRUCIAL SSD
- Gibabyte B550 X V2
- 2TB HARDRIVE
- 850W COOLERMASTER MVE V2 Gold PSU

I'd really appreciate any advice or help you have on this matter. Thanks a lot!

Update the BIOS of your motherboard to identify potential issues. Run userbenchmark.com and share the resulting link, such as https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730. Reset the BIOS using a jumper, CLR CMOS or JBAT, and later configure boot priority accordingly. Verify system integrity in Windows by opening the command prompt as administrator and executing DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Follow the instructions on https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-open-an-...pt-2618088. Perform a clean boot at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...in-windows. Use the manufacturer’s tool to scan the hard drive for errors and, if needed, update the firmware.

The restoration process finished without issues. The system will confirm completion shortly. How can I verify this? Thank you for your reply!

The SSD didn't require an update, nor did the HDD. I've performed a BIOS update and reset the CMOS using a jumper. I'm planning a clean boot now. Thanks for the support so far.

Eventually when the audio remains active and the video becomes black, attempt to restart the GPU driver using a hotkey.
Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B
Information on resetting your graphics driver: AMD, Nvidia, DDU - Dexerto
Do you require a reset of your graphics driver? This procedure may resolve numerous frequent issues. This manual will explain the steps.
www.dexerto.com
if this doesn’t work yet, it might be something else.
consider using the GPU on another PC
try a different power supply unit in your current system
check the event log in Windows for any warnings or errors during the video blackout?
