I just tried some post-patch BF4 and noticed the main battle tank thermal optics are totally broken now. You can see the terrain only about 20 feet around you, the rest is just black. Do you think this was an intentional nerf? It seems like tank thermal optics were kind of a wallhack, but there’s nothing in the patch notes about it.

I think its a bug!, there is an issue with random revives even though nobody revived you either its not been mentioned as an intentional nerf, might be something to do with the night time maps etc, maybe they tweaked something they were not meant to

The CTE is running night maps at the moment, and the thermal effects on vehicles combined with missing flood lights made players who entered the gunner seat feel completely hidden and unapproachable. I believe something from the CTE might have slipped into retail, similar to what happened with the broken tracers.
