I recently purchased a RedDragon Vata Full Mechanical keyboard and a RedDragon DITI One hand keyboard for gaming. Both functioned perfectly until I attempted to install the device software. Now, my full keyboard only recognizes the DITI One keyboard, leaving it with roughly half its keys unresponsive. The correct software fails to detect my full Vata keyboard, displaying "no device installed." The only solution so far is opening the One-hand keyboard software, which allows editing about 30 keys. Essentially, my keyboards are still thinking they’re connected to the wrong device.

I have tried several steps:
- Uninstall and reinstall drivers.
- Remove all Red Dragon-related files.
- Switch to another keyboard's drivers and software (none worked).
- Connected the full keyboard to a different PC, but it still thinks it’s the one-hand keyboard.
- Followed the manual to perform a "Hard Reset," though I’m unsure if it’s safe due to non-functional buttons.

Any suggestions on resolving this issue? I’m considering returning both devices and switching brands, but that would be a hassle since I just changed keycaps, switches, and lubricated them.

I believe another process or application might be operating in the background, mistakenly retaining keyboard settings and related configurations. After installing the keyboard drivers, did the downloads also contain additional tools or utilities? It might not have been obvious unless you paid close attention. Some checkboxes weren’t immediately clear about their presence or function. Check the Task Manager under Startup and Task Scheduler. In Task Manager, under Startup, search for any unfamiliar or unexpected applications. Also, examine Task Scheduler for any triggers linked to keyboard drivers or games. Other potential areas include Resource Monitor and Process Explorer (Microsoft, free). https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s-explorer. Carefully review these entries. If anything looks suspicious, you can investigate further or share details. Avoid disabling or deleting items without understanding their purpose first.

I understand this has been going on for more than a year. Did you ever discover a fix for this?

Yes, this is an old thread (necro) and unlikely to gain much attention.
Please start a new thread.
Include full system specs and OS information.
Provide details about the keyboards (there are probably differences) and what fixes you have attempted thus far along with the results of those attempts.
Closing thread to further posts.
