Hi, I’m looking to purchase a 9700 XT at a favorable price. The issue is my PSU isn’t strong enough. Should I limit its power temporarily or invest in a more robust PSU before making the upgrade?

They suggest a 750W component with a typical board power of 300W, which should fit well since your system isn’t very power-hungry. The main concern would be activating the OC protection on the PSU. You might also consider undervolting the GPU to keep performance while reducing power usage.
But results depend on meeting the official recommendations.
