The question display becomes empty unexpectedly?
Hi,
I recently assembled a budget gaming PC using a second-hand graphics card. The processor is an Intel i5 12400F, the motherboard is a Gigabyte H610M H V2 (version 1.0), and the RAM consists of two CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB modules in DDR5 format at 5200MHz. The storage setup includes a 1TB Samsung 970 Pro NVME drive, a 2TB HDD, three additional hard disks (500GB, 250GB, 150GB). The power supply is a Corsair RM650. I purchased the graphics card "Galax One Click OC RTX 3070" from a local hardware store. I tested it in the shop and ran Furmark benchmarks for 15-20 minutes to confirm functionality without artifacts. It performed well initially, but now my display flickers randomly and resets frequently. Sometimes it works for two consecutive gaming or browsing sessions, while other days it causes problems multiple times a day. I have had to restart the PC to restore the display. I switched from DisplayCable to HDMI recently, but the issue persists.
I believe the problem may be related to the graphics card hardware itself, as I used a GTX 970 with HDMI for a month without any display issues.
I would appreciate your assistance and expertise.
Hello there, new member!
PSU: Corsair RM650
You asked about the age of your unit in this build.
Have you used DDU to clear all GPU drivers before swapping the GTX970 for the RTX3070?
Motherboard model: Gigabyte H610M H V2 (rev. 1.0)
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
The PSU Corsair RM650 was purchased around 2018 as a replacement for the TX650 under warranty. There have been no problems with this PSU. I updated the drivers using DDU and NVCleaninstall, and also adjusted the window settings (from 11 to 10).
