Hey there! I just completed my PC upgrade for the first time, but I ran into a small issue. When I turn on my system, the motherboard lights up as soon as I connect the PSU, yet pressing the power button makes the PSU click and none of the components activate. I’ve tried all sorts of fixes—plugging and unplugging cables, removing certain parts like the GPU, RAM, CPU, and switching to different cables—but nothing seems to work. I’m starting to think about replacing my PSU, but I wanted to check if there’s anything else I should try before making that decision.
Regards

Usually it indicates the PSU notices a short and stops the system. Either a part is faulty or connections are loose. The process is simple yet time-consuming: start with the simplest setup, adding one component at a time (initially just the motherboard, CPU, and cooling). It might also help to assemble the unit outside a case, as the enclosure could be causing a short circuit.
