CPU : Ryzen 7 5800x
CPU cooler : deepcool ls250
Motherboard : rog strix b550a gaming
Ram : 2x8gb Trident z 3600 mhz cl 19
Gpu : rx 6700xt nitro+
Psu : Corsair rm 850x
Initially thought the 32gb RAM was faulty, so I bought several kits.
These include:
4x8gb Corsair RT 3600 cl 18
4x16 kingston fury beast 3200mhz cl 16
4x8gb Trident z royal 3600mhz cl 18
All had the same issue—PC would shut down sometimes.
I disabled XMP to run at base frequency, but the problem persisted.
Testing with memtes86 showed no errors at 3000mhz.
I’m unsure if it’s a single rank, dual rank, or quad rank issue, or if my CPU or motherboard might be failing.

Hello there,
Which BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? It's important to update it for optimal RAM performance.

I don't see a 3610 version. Only 3607 or 3611. Either way if it's not the most recent then update it and clear CMOS. If it is the most recent, it might be worth clearing CMOS anyway.
There is an issue with Ryzen and ram slots filled. 4 DIMM slots populated can reduce the max capable speed of the ram. It's likely that's what's going on.
Ideally having a 2 x 16 or 2 x 32gb kit is better and normally works at rated speeds as only 2 slots are occupied.
