My machine boots up quickly and every time I turn it on after sleeping or waking, the CPU speed drops to 1.18 GHz instead of the expected 3.2+ GHz. It returns to normal when I either disconnect and reconnect the power supply or restart the system. This behavior is frustrating and I’d like it to stop. It happens every morning, even though this CPU model is new to my machine and the previous one did the same. The rest of the day works fine, but it also occurs whenever the power supply accidentally disconnects. Once I notice the power loss, I plug it back in and it stabilizes at 1.18 GHz, just like before. It’s really annoying to deal with. Is this related to the fast startup feature? My power settings are set to Ultimate Performance, which seems to force the CPU to run at full capacity even when disconnected.
