I mentioned it randomly. After finishing my errand, I logged onto my PC to watch a video. Almost immediately, its performance began to falter, making simple tasks feel sluggish. Out of interest, I looked up ICUE from Corsair, which I use mainly for temperature monitoring. My CPU temperature reached 102 degrees. When I restarted the computer, it displayed an overheating warning. I inspected all vents, intake, exhausts, and fans—everything seemed clean. A major concern was why this happened unexpectedly. I’d used the PC before my errand and it had been fine then. I tried updating the BIOS after a short wait, but anxiety kept me on edge because alarms were sounding. Could there be an issue with my AIO? Might the thermal paste need reapplication? Is there something in the BIOS that’s causing this? System details: Mobo: MSI B550m Mortar Wifi. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: GTX 1660 Super. PSU: Seasonic GX 850 Gold. AIO: EK DRGB. I’m eager to get more info if you’re up for it, but please be patient—I’m still getting familiar with PCs. Thanks!

Power up the PC again and let it rest for 40 to 60 seconds at full speed. Feel the AIO tubes emerging from the pump; if they feel cool, the pump isn’t moving the water properly—this could indicate a failed pump or a blockage inside.

Are you hearing unusual sounds from your AIO? Also, verify that the thermal paste fully covers the IHS area on your CPU. This might indicate an issue with the AIO, a need to reapply thermal paste, or incomplete coverage.

I didn't interrupt during the BIOS upgrade.
