It seems there may be a power supply concern. The Thunder 450W model shows a 12v¹ rail at 21A and 12v² at 18A. Based on the source, components only need to draw between 228 to 252 watts from the 12v rail to trigger overcurrent protection, which can cut power when current exceeds limits to avoid damage. An i5-2310 with a GTX 1060 6GB can already handle around 215W at normal speeds, so it’s possible this could cause OCP and shut down. A straightforward way to check for CPU overheating is to run a stress test that heavily uses the CPU without much GPU load—tools like OCCT or Prime95 would be useful. If the machine doesn’t power off during this, the problem likely isn’t CPU-related.

if it overheats it can't be a power supply, the 450w unit works fine as it can exceed 450w. For the 2nd gen i5+1060, check the setup at the online wattage calculator if issues arise. At idle 60 watts should come from the CPU cooler; replace with a better one and ensure an 8mm fan is sufficient for the workload.
