The process QuestionRundll32.exe*32 is using 100% of your computer’s processor.
Hello,
I'm experiencing a strange problem where a random rundll32.exe*32 process consistently appears each time I start World of Warcraft Classic. The indicated file location is within the SYSWOW64 folder.
This process utilizes 100% of my processor’s capacity, significantly impacting the performance of other running applications – for instance, Chrome and Spotify, which typically use only 1% each, now reach 30% individually, with the rundll process consuming the remainder. This is causing excessive heat.
The issue only manifests when launching WoW, and it doesn’t occur with any other games I play. It began a few days ago, and despite reinstalling my computer, the problem continues on the new system.
I’ve attempted using two different versions of WoW Classic, both exhibiting the same behavior. The rundll process can be triggered while the game is active, restoring normal application usage and overall CPU utilization to 10-20%, allowing WoW to run correctly.
I suspect that recent Windows updates might be contributing to memory and processor inconsistencies, but I've installed all crucial available updates.
Could you suggest any potential solutions to resolve this issue?

Hello,
I’m experiencing a peculiar problem where a random rundll32.exe*32 process unexpectedly appears each time I start World of Warcraft Classic. The indicated file path is located within the SYSWOW64 folder.
This process uses 100% of my CPU resources, significantly increasing the activity of other running applications and consuming all available processing power on its own. For instance, if Chrome and Spotify are open—typically utilizing around 1% each—their usage spikes to 30% per application, while rundll32 handles the remainder. This clearly leads to excessive heat generation in my CPU.
This issue occurs exclusively when launching the WoW client; no other games trigger this behavior. The problem initially surfaced several days ago, and despite a complete system reinstallation, it continues to manifest.
I’ve tested two separate instances of the WoW Classic client, and both exhibit the same symptoms.
The rundll process can be initiated even while the game is already running, which then returns application usage to normal levels and overall CPU utilization to 10-20%, allowing WoW to run without issues.
I suspect that pending Windows updates could be causing memory and CPU inconsistencies, but I have installed every relevant update.
Do you have any suggestions for resolving this issue?
