I along with my brother invested two hours attempting to adjust the fan speed in Windows on his Asus G14 (RTX 2060). On Mac, I simply installed a “Fan Speed Control” app, double-clicked it which added a clickable icon in the menu bar that, upon clicking, displayed a UI with sliders for managing the fan speed. It took no more than 30 seconds. It was straightforward, logical, and user-friendly—just worked perfectly. On Windows, however, things were much more complicated. The process required a lot of trial and error: 1) Using Armory Crate, I clicked on the “Fan” section of the interface but found no functional changes. The available options only let me resize a tile without any effect. In the System tab, there was no setting to modify the fan speed either. YouTube tutorials showed an outdated version of Armoury Crate that no longer existed. We also attempted to set “Profile 1” to “Silent,” but applying the profile didn’t produce any results. 2) Installing a Fan Control app: we searched for “Fan control app Windows 11” and installed the top result, only to discover it didn’t function properly despite claiming compatibility with AMD CPU and NVIDIA RTX GPU. It let me drag sliders but did nothing when I tried. 3) Windows Settings: we navigated through the entire Windows settings interface in search of fan control options, but none were available. 4) Forum searches: many users shared links to GitHub repositories, yet there was no download button—why must developers be required for such tasks? 5) AMD Settings app: launching the AMD application returned a blank screen, rendering it unusable. 6) NVIDIA Control Panel: similar issues appeared; no settings existed for adjusting fan speed. 7) BIOS: technically possible to change fan speed in BIOS, but it would require restarting the computer every time I needed to switch between silent word sessions and gaming, disrupting workflow. Despite cleaning the fans, even at reduced speeds, the system remained noisy enough for my brother to need frequent adjustments. We’ve tried everything from downloading apps to modifying system settings, yet nothing streamlined the process. This situation is frustrating because basic tasks in Windows feel so cumbersome. It would be great if a fan speed control app could be downloaded and set up in under 30 seconds, just like on a Mac. Users on other platforms often complain about similar limitations, but it seems this issue is unique to Windows. ASUS Armoury Crate

Have you explored G-helper? It's a compact, lightweight tool. I've used Armoury Crate for a week without making much change, but G-helper offers more flexibility. Check it out here: https://github.com/seerge/g-helper

You're absolutely amazing! It's incredible that Armoury Crate has such a clever feature. If you're visiting Sweden, let me know and I'll arrange some Fika for you.
