The problem with my system causes it to become unstable and crash.
I’ve faced several issues since installing this PC a few months back. Setting the RAM to 6000 MHz causes freezing, followed by shutdowns and restarts. Even without that setting, the system sometimes fails to boot—requiring multiple restarts before it loads. CyberPower charges over $200 for shipping repairs, which isn’t feasible at the moment. From the symptoms, I suspect a motherboard problem. I’ve located compatible boards under $200 and am thinking about replacing the board myself to see if that fixes things. What are your thoughts? Should I go ahead with the replacement, or try something else first?
You're asking about the exact meaning of "set the RAM to run at 6000." This typically refers to configuring XMP profiles in the BIOS, not just adjusting the frequency. Changing the frequency without proper settings can cause instability. If you're experiencing boot issues, it might involve hardware problems like faulty USB devices, loose components, or power supply issues.
Sometimes it begins without showing anything, and I need to restart it three times before it loads, which is pretty rare.
I believe I should break everything down and start over to check if the problem persists, then I'll get back to you.
