I recently upgraded my computer, replacing the original components with a 9900k and a Maximus XI Formula. The setup remains largely the same except for the new processor and storage drive. My complete configuration is listed below. I’ve run multiple stress tests—P95, Cinebench 20, OCCT—and feel confident about the stability of my overclock. To rule out hardware issues, I also tried higher voltages as a control. The problem continues consistently across all scenarios. In most cases, performance matches expectations: I achieve solid frame rates in games and even handle CPU-heavy tasks like Arma well. Rendering work feels smooth. However, I’m encountering an unusual behavior when launching programs. Instead of a proper click animation, the shortcut either doesn’t trigger or behaves oddly. Sometimes it takes about 15 seconds for the app to appear after clicking. Additionally, the Start Menu button sometimes responds only about one-tenth of the time. Even Microsoft Excel exhibits delayed button clicks. This is completely new to me—any suggestions would be appreciated?

Looks like disabling the nahimic service resolved the problem. It comes bundled with the motherboard and usually leads to several issues. I’ll stay updated and see if it gets fixed.
