Lately, I've discovered that my games—CSGO and DOTA 2 specifically—are consistently rendering at 130 and 90 frames per second, respectively, even when utilizing the maximum settings available. I anticipated my computer’s performance would be capable of sustaining higher frame rates. Experimenting with overclocking my graphics card (increasing memory speed by +500) yielded no improvement in CSGO’s frame rate. My central processing unit remained remarkably cool, maintaining a temperature of just 36°C.

I am seeking advice on how to achieve greater frame rates within my games and would like to know if a dual monitor configuration might be contributing to this problem. Here’s my system specifications: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Zotac 2060 Super, ASRock B450M PRO 4, EVGA 650 GD, and two 1440p monitors.

I want to emphasize that installing 3200 MHz dual-channel RAM (two 8GB sticks) will significantly improve Ryzen performance.

If you possess an RTX graphics card, utilize Afterburner and leverage its automated overclocking scanner to optimize your card's performance. Failing to automatically overclock an RTX GPU represents a substantial loss of potential speed improvements.

Furthermore, what amount of RAM do you have, and at what speeds? What is the wattage rating of your power supply unit (PSU)?

Should I only run the tests on a single screen?

My system utilizes 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2666MHz, and my power supply is a 650W EVGA with an 80+ GOLD rating. I attempted to push the power supply beyond its limits using Overclocking Scanner from Afterburner, but I observed no measurable differences.

I attempted that, but it didn't work at all.

Could increased memory speed resolve this issue?

What is your present memory setup – two eight-gigabyte sticks or one sixteen-gigabyte stick?
