Hello everyone, I'm getting a strange issue with my server setup. CUPS fully detects my Canon LBP-6000 printer connected through USB to a Windows Server 2016 machine, but when I send print jobs via SMB, they appear as completed without actually printing. I've installed drivers on all devices—both Windows Server and my Ubuntu 15.10 machine—and I'm using the same account on the server. The problem seems to be driver-related, though the Linux Arch wiki mentions it's specific to HP printers. I'm not including a driver issue since I just downloaded the newest ones today from Canon support. Someone suggested checking CUPS filtering or forcing raw printing through CUPS, which might resolve the matter. Could this be related to Windows Server configuration or ZoneAlarm firewall? Thanks for your help!

I've managed to print from my Ubuntu PC by turning off processing in the client computers through Windows Server settings, but now it only functions from my personal machine. The Windows Server has different accounts for family members. I've printed from my father's PC using his Ubuntu 16.10 account and encountered the same issue: the print job appears briefly then disappears, showing as successful in CUPS but not actually printed. Even when I tried from my father's PC with my account, no printing occurred. This seems related to unknown Windows Server settings, though I've granted Remote Access and full group access on the server.
