I have a Windows 10 desktop PC with my HP OfficeJet 4652 AIO Printer connected to WiFi. The printer is recognized by both my PC and router, but when sending a document it shows up in the print queue as printing then deleting. The router also recognizes it, yet I can't print. Setting the printer as default didn't help. The troubleshooter says everything is working, and the hardware properties show the device is functioning. However, I can print from my Samsung phone. What am I doing wrong? Help.

I'm not sure if this will assist you.
Have you ever used a different printer connected from your desktop? The issue started when I got a new printer, which only worked when it felt like it. I checked the "Printers and Scanners" section, but it still showed details of my old printer. Once I cleared the old printer's information, the new one functioned properly.
Also, please check the box that says allow Windows to manage my default printer.

Yes, I followed the instructions. The HP Smart app guided me to use its troubleshooting assistant.

MJS WARLORD adjusted the printer settings to 'default' as advised, but the issue persists. No other printers are available for deletion. Appreciate your understanding.

Provide the power supply specifications, including make, model, wattage, age, and condition (original, build, refurbished, used). List all connected peripherals. Specify whether the network connection is wired or wireless. Include any relevant error codes, warnings, or events from Windows Reliability History/Monitor related to HP, the printer, or print applications at the time of the issue. Note if the printer uses a static IP address and consider using a wired connection for troubleshooting.

I'm not sure why I didn't try that first. I ordered a cable to hard wire the printer to the computer, hoping it would save me time. If that doesn't work, I'll stick with your advice. Thanks for sharing how to tackle this issue—I need to sort it out soon because I'm moving and time is tight.

The printer is listed as the default device, with no other printers detected. Files like docs and pdf go to the queue but don’t update. It seems the hardwire fix didn’t help.

The offline state appeared after I switched off the printer’s Wi-Fi and then connected via USB.

Any suggestions?
