I changed the black cartridge in my HP OfficeJet 3830. It still appears as empty. Papers come out blank. What should I do to make the printer see the complete cartridge?

The refill kit mentioned possible limitations on refilling certain cartridges. It asked if your printer shows any signs of such restrictions.
