It might be that the switch isn’t truly loose when you try to remove it, but it feels very easy to open without pressing any force. After installing the new GPU, you notice a clicking sound when the switch secures. This could mean the switch is working properly now.

It works with the GPU inside, and it's constructed from plastic, though it may have a few flaws.
