You haven't tried GTA 4. Check the wiki link for console and PC variations.

Hi Rockstar, could you avoid copying Ubisoft and focus on enhancing the graphics rather than worsening them on consoles?

I owned an E4600+9600 at that time, it was a solid setup back then, capable of handling most titles (including Crysis) at high settings in 1080p. Recently, GTA 4 struggled around 20-30 fps at low-medium settings, regardless of the configuration. Now I have a HD 7770 that’s about twice as powerful as a GT9800 (then the best choice). At 1280x1024 it still managed smooth play at Medium with solid frame rates, unlike other games from that time like Far Cry 2, which was a poor console port.

I'll purchase a used PS3 GTA5 before buying a mediocre PC setup, avoiding another disappointing crash...

I believe it was a fully functional port. You can customize it all day. It doesn't solve the unoptimized release they brought out.

Rockstar should avoid damaging the PC version this time. At least I'm getting the Xbox One soon so I can play it on that for now.

It performed poorly, particularly after release, yet it remained far better than the console edition. Dark Souls 1 is essentially a "full port" experience.

there were a few upgrades (some you’d anticipate from a robust and expandable system), yet it remained completely unoptimized. It was a poor console port, offering only minor tweaks, but the absence of optimization made it seem unremarkable.
