Hey everyone, I’ve noticed a freeze on my PC whenever I open Unreal Engine. I’m sure it’s related to my power supply, even though I still have a spare that’s 3 years old and was an Aerocool 650 80 Plus Bronze. However, after using it for three months on my new rig, the issue resurfaced exactly like with the old one. I don’t know if it’s my PSU or not. I updated my graphics driver and tested in Furmark, but it still freezes sometimes. It’s a bit strange. Before purchasing a new PSU, I’m wondering if I can be sure it’s the right one. If so, what should I look for? My budget is between 40 to 60 dollars.

Specs: i7 9700k
16GHz BRAM
Coolermaster liquid cooler CPU

Sorry for the delayed response. Here are your full specifications.
CPU: i7 9700k
GPU: rtx 2060
Power supply: cougar stc500w
Monitor: msi g244f e2
OS: windows 11
RAM: teamgroup t-force 16gb 3200 8 each
I recently played rocket league and the game froze entirely, though the number lock worked fine. After restarting, the event viewer showed an error with source nvlddmkm and ID 153.
