I've been using my PC for a while now, and I thought it would be useful to upgrade from 8GB to 16GB of RAM. I verified that the speeds would fit and that the motherboard could handle the increase. However, after installing the new RAM, the system wouldn't boot properly. The computer started up but didn’t reach BIOS, and even though I double-checked cables and reinstalled the old RAM, it still didn’t work. My friend who knows about PCs said everything seemed correct, but I couldn’t get it to function. Motherboard model: ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/a GPU: Evga GTX 970 Old RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK8GX4M2A2400C14 New RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16

Remove the battery briefly and then touch the CMOS jumper for extra luck
