My PC starts up with a black screen and I can't reach my BIOS settings, everything seemed normal the night before. I've tried various solutions without success: changed monitors and cables, removed GPU yet the debug light stayed on, swapped RAM and slots, took out the CMOS battery, unplugged storage devices, and even used the display in the motherboard port after removing the GPU. My system details are as follows: motherboard B250M Gaming Pro, GPU GTX 970, CPU Intel i5-6500, 2 x 8GB Corsair RAM. This problem is really frustrating—I've searched online and checked multiple threads without finding a solution. Please help.

Remove the GPU and connect the monitor to the motherboard. Reset the CMOS using a jumper, then attempt to power on the CMOS battery that is now correctly installed with a visible plus sign.

Apologies for the delayed reply. You should maintain contact for a certain duration to ensure proper connection with the CMOS pins.

if the screwdriver is conductive, you only need to check seconds, though longer tests are possible if needed, provided it doesn’t work.

I fixed it by replacing some components, but I'm still unsure what triggered the issue. Now I'm encountering a new one—when I boot into Windows using just my SSD, the blue repair screen appears, and I've tried all possible solutions so far. My HDD works fine on another PC, which was used to swap parts for this problem.

verify the boot sequence following the HDD replacement, see if the system attempts to start from the new drive.
