The PC shuts down abruptly rather than completing a smooth shutdown when in sleep mode.
The PC was assembled at the end of last year and it shuts down abruptly rather than closing properly when entering sleep mode.
The machine restarts when the keyboard or mouse is activated, but instead of continuing from sleep, it simply powers back up.
This problem began occasionally, then roughly once a week, and now occurs every time the PC goes into sleep.
In the Event Viewer, the Kernel-Power event ID 41... appears 58 times with the same message and no additional details.
"The system has rebooted without a clean shutdown first. This error might result from the system stopping, crashing, or losing power unexpectedly."
All drivers, Windows 11, and BIOS are current.
Event 41 is frequently linked to PSU problems, yet it actually signals an unexpected or improper shutdown. Initially, I considered checking sfc/DISM and ensuring all drivers are current. Beyond that, I would adjust the machine to shut down the screen while keeping it awake or simply power it off. Band aid would be ideal.
I've already tested three power supplies from three different manufacturers, so I believe the problem isn't with the PSU.
