Hi. My computer started freezing unexpectedly. I thought it was the hard drive issue, so I swapped it out and installed a new one using a USB stick. During the setup, it would still freeze at random times, even when I was in BIOS performing the necessary steps for Windows 11. I don’t have any other information about what might be causing this. My PC is 18 months old with the following specs: CPU i9-9900k, GPU Nvidia 1050 Ti, RAM 16GB, PSU 850w. Thanks for reading.
what make/model psu?
if it freezes in bios, it’s probably not related to storage.
consider testing on cpu – https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...-tool.html?
use memtest86 on each ram stick individually, performing up to four passes. Aim for zero errors; any above indicates potential issues.
replace or remove ram sticks with detected errors. Memtest comes as a bootable usb so you don’t need windows to operate it
