The PC powers up yet fails to restart.
I'be been having an issue with my PC. When i turn it on after a long period of it being turned off (such as overnight), it starts first time, every time, with no issues. However if I want to restart it, or I turn it off for a few seconds, to maybe a few hours, i'll really struggle to get it to start properly. Specifically, the fans run and it lights up, but there is no display output. I have to keep pressing the power button to turn it off and on and off etc. and it takes many attempts to get it to start properly. Once it starts I can't fault it.
I've just tried swapping my PSU to a more powerful one (860w), because I wondered if it was short on power, but its made no odds.

The latest BIOS update for my motherboard was in 2021 and the GPU came out in 2023, do you think it could be a bios issue? Are there BIOS settings I can maybe mess with that might help?
Thanks in advance.

System specifications should be listed as requested: CPU, CPU cooler, Motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, Chassis, OS, Monitor.
The age of the PSU is included along with its make and model.
BIOS version for the motherboard is also provided at this time.
I recently replaced my PSU with a 860w model to check for power issues, but it didn’t affect performance.
What are the details of the PSU you used for troubleshooting?
Initially it ran a Corsair CV650, but now it uses an older Corsair ax860.
Have you attempted additional troubleshooting measures after replacing the power supply? Consider operating the PC solely with essential components—such as powering only the motherboard and CPU, disconnecting case fans and RGB, removing front I/O, utilizing integrated graphics, or activating the power button or motherboard power switch—to determine if the issue continues. You might also test with a single RAM module, perform MemTest86 to exclude memory problems, or replace the graphics card if feasible.
The q-code indicates "AO" with a white LED when the system doesn't boot or show anything. When operational, "AO" shows without an LED. I removed all components except the AIO pump and connected the monitor to the motherboard. As advised, but couldn't force it to fail. Plugging everything back in except the GPU didn't resolve the issue (though the front reset button stopped working). Restarting several times fixed the display from the GPU, but power issues remain unclear. I've adjusted some GPU BIOS settings, but they don't help much. Trying to force GPU usage caused no display and a "D6" code, which can't detect the GPU.
The GPU appears to be in questionable condition based on your description. Could we replace it with a verified functional alternative?
