You're facing an unusual issue where the Task Scheduler option to wake your PC from sleep for updates is set by default, but you're encountering a password prompt when trying to disable it. This seems to be a configuration quirk or permission problem. There are a few possible solutions: try checking your account permissions, reset the Task Scheduler settings, or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

Set up the operating system with full admin rights OR power off the machine during evening hours (strongly advised)

It's a local system account with no password. You should disable the wake timers in the sleep settings (power options) or simply turn off the PC. That's what I do.

Unless I'm on break—which isn't likely these days—my workstation runs nonstop. I switch off the screen and activate the lock display. This uses minimal energy and avoids sleep/hibernate problems.
