Hey everyone! I just installed a new PC for the first time in ten years, and while I’ve managed to configure it and run stress tests successfully over the past five years, modern games still crash back to the desktop. Anyone have any ideas about why this is happening or how to fix it?

Let it execute Memtest86 during the night. Should there be no errors after several attempts, I would examine particular game titles that are experiencing crashes. You are operating Windows 11 24H2 with all patches applied, correct? Did you install the most recent BIOS update? Are you employing any third-party antivirus software, or is it using the built-in Windows Defender? Programs from outside the standard suite might affect certain games. Are your graphics card connected via a vertical mount? Such setups can lead to PCIe signal problems between the GPU and motherboard. If present, take it out and test whether the issue resolves.
