The PC isn't turning on and it's unclear which hardware might be faulty.
Hello, I played a game and left it idle for 30 minutes. When I returned, my PC was off and wouldn’t power on again. Since I don’t have another system to test each part individually, I did some basic troubleshooting.
The first thing I noticed was that the motherboard logo lights up when the PSU is active. I tried reseating the RAM, removing the battery from the motherboard, unplugging and replugging cables, and finally disconnecting the GPU to see if it would turn on. When the GPU wasn’t connected, the PC still turned on normally—lights were visible, fans ran, CPU lit up, and the PSU fan was active.
I’m confused because even though I tried to connect the GPU directly to the motherboard without linking the PCIE to the PSU, it still wouldn’t power on. Is this a problem with the GPU or the motherboard?

What's the age of your PSU? You may consider obtaining a well-built PSU from others instead of purchasing it yourself to resolve the problem.
If you suspect the GPU is the problem, try placing it on another functioning system (different from your own) to check if the issue persists.
Sure, I can help with that. Let me know if you'd like me to rephrase it.
Removing the GPU reduces the load on the PSU, indicating a possible issue with the PSU.
Even without connecting the 8 pin cable to the GPU and only inserting it into the motherboard, the PSU might still detect that it cannot handle the GPU. I attempted this method myself to try to narrow down the issue, but searching for information about slotting the GPU in MBO did not provide clear guidance on power supply requirements.
My nephew arrived and removed my RAM and GPU to check which one is broken. He also mentioned that when I power on my PC without the GPU, it gets stuck in a boot loop. I'll update this note about whether the GPU issue will appear once he tests it on his machine tomorrow.
