Are the model numbers the same? Have you checked every stick in various pairs to identify a particular match? I’m curious if, considering the motherboard’s age, the RAM voltage regulation might be failing and multiple sticks could be contributing to instability. It could also be due to an aging or deteriorating motherboard.
I tested each slot separately and it posted. Then using pairs (A1 B1, A2 B2) it functioned. The board appears to be quite old. I consulted another forum about this issue, they questioned whether timing might vary between sticks and if the board could regulate properly, so I opened cpu-z and captured a few screenshots. The board feels quite outdated and inexpensive, which affects the trace quality. The memory controller on the 6700K isn’t very strong either—it was Intel’s first DDR4-compatible chip, so some trade-offs were made. There are four dimms set to 1600, even though it isn’t an especially quick speed, which could be outside the system’s capabilities.
Thank you for the feedback! The manual indicates that because of Intel chipset restrictions, this motherboard only allows single-sided memory when four modules are used, operating at the highest DDR3 speed of 1066 MHz. It looks like your RAM is double-sided, which may affect compatibility.
