My PC failed to boot a few weeks ago. The MSI Pro B660 Wi-Fi has diagnostic lights for CPU, DRAM, VGA, and boot status. Typically all lights blink briefly in sequence, with the CPU taking the longest. Now the first three are working, but the last one (boot) doesn<|pad|> to not light up. The monitor receives a signal but only displays MSI and FreeSync logos at once, then stays black. It usually powers off after a while (possibly due to inactivity) and now fans are running continuously. Could improper usage be the cause? It worked fine yesterday.

Have you adjusted the BIOS recently? Overclocking components like RAM too much can cause problems. Consider removing the motherboard's CMOS battery for a minute then reinserting it (this will reset your BIOS settings).

I didn't lock anything too, but it still functioned. Thanks!
