Consider extending the hold time a bit. Check if the PSU fan and case fans are running when you pressed the power button. Make sure there’s no flashing—this could indicate an issue. EDIT: Did you confirm you’re using the right USB port?

I'm really puzzled, I tried removing the CMOS but my PC just stopped after flashing. When I put it back in, it started again but then shut down after two minutes. After connecting the GPU and flash drive, it turned on, fans ran, but then it powered off immediately. I'm wondering why it's not flashing properly or starting at all. Could be a faulty component?

It's unusual since I thought BIOS Flashback relies on a separate chip so the rest of the board wouldn't affect it, working without the CPU or RAM. But it might react to the flash drive, with some devices failing to connect.

He suggests testing a different flash drive and considering BIOS flashing after removing all components from the motherboard.

Using a tiny USB stick (around 1GB) with fat32 formatting works fine. Big USB3 drives with NTFS rarely function properly for me during flashback.

I tried to reach out to someone from your group to express my gratitude, but I didn’t get a response. After using the rear and power buttons, it functioned well in similar situations.
