The PC is experiencing a sudden loss of Wi-Fi connection.
PC part picker link provided. Network stability seems inconsistent—devices connect well while others drop intermittently. Speed tests show fluctuating results, peaking at 150 Mbps but ending around 8-12 Mbps. Recent fixes include driver resets and an ASUS download, but issues persist. Possible causes: hardware changes, interference, or outdated firmware. Consider checking for firmware updates, testing on another network, or consulting ASUS support.
I should also note that I have a PCI E Wi-Fi card, though it lacks any antennas. This is because I recently built a new PC and it only supports 3 down 1 up connections. On my previous system it was 120 down. I did add some antennas, but they didn’t establish any connections.
Is it creating that distinct noise when you remove the Wi-Fi adapter from the USB? I’ve had the same problem for a while too.
