The PC is behaving oddly and isn't starting up properly.
Hey, a few days back my PC began behaving oddly. After it was off for a while, I couldn’t turn it on again unless I connected the power supply properly. Once that worked, things started to go wrong again. About four days ago it would suddenly shut down repeatedly, cutting power as if it were being switched off. This kept happening over ten times. When I opened the case, I checked for loose cables or damaged connections, but nothing seemed to be wrong. After the most recent failure, it would restart normally, but there was no display, the GPU LEDs were off, and the fans didn’t spin. I didn’t see any debug lights, the case fans started, but the debug sound didn’t play. It looks like the graphics card isn’t getting power—lights aren’t working and the fans aren’t running. I’ve tried my old GPU, a new PSU, cleared the CMOS, and checked temperatures, yet nothing fixed the issue. This machine had been fine for about two months before these problems started.
