The PC freezes when the game runs, but switching to the second monitor resolves the issue?
When attempting to launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, the loading screen consistently freezes, even when using a second monitor. Switching monitors resolves the issue, allowing the game to load and navigate the menu properly. However, returning to the original game causes it to freeze once again. This behavior has never occurred before, despite everything functioning normally otherwise. After several attempts with alt+tab, the problem seems to stabilize. The task manager shows the GPU performance was at 20% or lower during freezing episodes, which resolved the issue when usage increased. Other games operate without similar problems. Any insights?
If you're using Windows 10, note the version you're running. For the game, consider removing and reinstalling your GPU drivers via an elevated command. Obtain the newest drivers from Nvidia's support page, then use DDU, and during installation right-click the installer to run it as administrator. What is the motherboard model? Is the RAM in your setup custom-made or mixed?
