Hello, I'm facing a recurring issue while playing games like CS2 and DOTA. When I don't minimize the game, I can play for hours without problems, but if I use alt+tab or the Windows button, the PC freezes instantly—about 30 seconds pass with no action. I still hear Discord and in-game voices, sometimes it restarts after just a few seconds. After restarting, the GPU driver is disabled, so I have to enable it via Device Manager. I've tried reinstalling Windows 11, updating the GPU driver, updating the BIOS, and checked my hardware specs: CPU I5 - 14600KF, MB AURUS ELIXE AX Z790, GPU RX 6700 XT, RAM Corsair vengeance 32gb, PSU 750W Gigabyte.

the psu model is gigabyte p750gm
the pc freezes so i still need to restart the computer, although it restarts automatically when frozen
i uninstalled the driver using ddu yes
i don’t know if it’s related to the gpu because if i don’t minimize the game, i can play all day without any fps drops or stuttering
i just don’t understand what might be causing this problem

Check the serial number on the PSU's label. It should read something like SNxxxxxGxxxxxx, with each letter representing a specific digit. Alternatively, you can take a photo of the label and upload it to a platform such as www.imgur.com to share. This information is crucial because it helps determine whether you have a time-sensitive model or a fixed version of the well-known Gigabyte P750GM series. Also, do you use different operating systems than your desktop? Switching between them might cause this problem.

PSU is brand new, I don't think it's the cause, because it only freezes when I minimize the game. In CS2 I see different results compared to native, while in Dota2 and Apex it works fine with native.

It might be a brand new model, but your PSU could be one of the problematic ones. That's why I checked its serial number to verify. If it matches any affected units, you can get it replaced without cost, as Gigabyte has issued a global recall for those PSUs. Ignoring recalled product issues isn't wise—don't keep using the faulty unit. It's best to test with another known working GPU to confirm whether the problem lies with the GPU or the PSU.

This issue appears to be related to a new update in Win 11.
Trying alternative approaches:
Turn off GPU scheduling features in Windows 11 settings.
Navigate through Settings > System > Display > Graphics and disable "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling."
It seems the problem varies by system, possibly linked to older versions of the game or specific configurations. The developers behind Mirror's Edge originally used dx9, which might explain the connection. Switching to Vulkan support could have resolved the issue for some titles, as certain games now use native Vulkan APIs instead of DirectX or OpenGL.
Alternatively, consider changing the game to a version that supports Vulkan directly or switching to another compatible engine like OpenGL or DirectX 12.
Performance differences may also depend on hardware capabilities, with more powerful processors potentially worsening the glitch in some cases.
