The PC fails to start when multiple monitors are linked.
Hello, I swapped in a PNY GeForce RTX 5080 ARGB EPIC-X RGB OC after my previous model. Since installation, the PC won't boot when more than one display is connected via DisplayPort—regardless of monitor or port. It never reaches the POST stage, so no error lights appear. The fans and RGB stay active but the system hangs. Once it boots with just one monitor, I can add others later without issues. I also upgraded the power supply to use a dedicated 12V-2x6 cable for reliability. I changed the PSU after some research, trying different models and BIOS updates, including DDU setup, BIOS changes, and even a BIOS update for PNY. I’ve also experimented with various cables and CMOS resets, but nothing seems to fix the problem consistently.
With just one monitor active, does your GPU still function properly? Can you share a GPU-Z report for it? It seems like there might be a limitation or a problem with your GPU or motherboard. I recommend checking if the same issue appears on another machine or if your GPU isn’t reporting correctly. After replacing the PSU, did you also swap the power cable from the PSU to the GPU? I can see it. Please let me know.
GPU speed is typical when connected with one or all three displays. I can handle normal tasks and games at the expected frame rate. Yes, I'm using the original cables from the PSU.
