Before bedtime yesterday I powered down my PC and turned off all peripheral devices—keyboard, mouse, blu mic. Upon waking, my microphone displayed a red flash and when I tried to boot up the computer nothing happened except the mic kept flashing red. After disconnecting everything from the I/O, inspecting my case, and checking connections, I noticed only one green light from the power switch pins on the motherboard. I searched online and found the paperclip test method to verify the PSU functionality. Should I try that to check the power supply? Edit: The PSU was dead. I managed to test it with another unit, and the PC posted on April 9, 2023 by Gregoryhost

Ensure CMOS is reset before powering on completely. The PSU might be defective if nothing is active at all.

I reinitialized the CMOS but the outcomes remained unchanged.
