Hey there! I’m dealing with an Aorus Gaming 5 WiFi that originally came with a Ryzen 5 2600. I swapped it out for a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and made sure the BIOS was updated beforehand. When connecting the PSU, the motherboard lights come on but the indicator lights stay off. Pressing the power button or shorting the pins doesn’t get the PC running. This issue happens with both the new and old CPUs. During the upgrade, some thermal paste ended up in the socket, but I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry—no bent pins were found. The PSU is solid at 750 watts, but I’m not sure what to do next. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks a lot.
Avoid turning it on when the system is running at 2600 with just one RAM stick. It displayed a CPU indicator light during that time, but without the 8-pin connector plugged in. I powered it down once the fans began spinning since my cooler wasn’t attached to the CPU, to prevent overheating.
It's a new issue, the 2600 powers up and the red CPU light stays on while the fans start spinning.
Check the current BIOS version on your PC. Confirm whether you connected the monitor to the GPU. If so, replace the CPU and verify if it differs.
