Hi, I just assembled my first PC but it won’t power on at all even though I’ve connected the 4+4 wire. When that wire is plugged in, the PSU makes a normal click during startup. However, when it’s not connected, the fans and cooler spin while the CPU light stays lit. I’ve checked the PSU, looked for bent pins on the CPU, and sent the motherboard for replacement, but it still doesn’t work.

What’s the issue? It could be a weak power supply unit.

Is this board compatible with a BIOS flash for the Ryzen 5 5600X? If not, consider a decent PSU for your 2x SLI setup—aim for at least 800W, preferably from brands like Corsair, Thermal Take, or Cooler Master. Many people overlook the importance of a solid power supply.

Test outside the case with a single RAM stick and no storage. It isn't SLI. Two mentions discuss GPU fan counts, similar to the link you shared.

I checked with one RAM module and confirmed the motherboard isn’t connecting via the case, though the PC doesn’t power up when the CPU cable is connected. Also, the two stands correspond to the two GPU fans.

I also removed the CPU, but even with the cable connected it wouldn't power on, and once it was unplugged it would start the fans and RGB. I suspect the issue might be with the CPU socket on the motherboard, though I'd appreciate some advice.

It seems there are compatibility issues with the BIOS or insufficient power from the PSU. I'm leaning more toward the BIOS problem. Consider flashing the system.

I considered it but wasn't sure it would prevent the PC from turning on.
