Hello everyone,

Here are the details:
MBD: ASRock Z370 Pro4
CPU: i5-9600k
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600Mhz (only at 2666Mhz due to CPU)
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
SSD1: HP EX950 M.2 512GB
SSD2: SanDisk PLUS 1000GB

I usually don’t post often because there are many solved problems to check, but I haven’t found a solution that worked yet.
Last night I changed the motherboard so I could fit the i5 9th gen inside. Everything else stayed the same.

Old board: Z270 Pro
New board: ASRock Z370 Pro4

The PC didn’t boot initially, but I noticed the M.2 wasn’t set as a priority boot. After that, it boots, but after a restart it loops until BIOS resets and then restarts. The problem repeats when I power off and turn it back on. I’ve tried moving RAM slots next to other possible fixes, but nothing fixed it. The only way to get it to boot is removing the CMOS and reinserting it, which works after 2–3 restarts. But the issue still comes up.

P.S. Once it boots everything functions properly (benchmarks, tests, etc.).
I’m really confused about what to do and would appreciate any advice!

modify the BIOS on your motherboard
swap out the CMOS battery (plus sign appears)
install Windows recently

A typical new motherboard usually needs a complete OS installation.

Thank you! To recap, since installing Windows again yesterday, the PC started up much faster—10 times quicker. I updated drivers for necessary components and restarted/shut down to verify if the problem resolved. Boot time dropped from 52 seconds to just 8 seconds. However, after a day off, it stopped working again, only staying on without any error messages or screen activity. Eventually, it booted after clearing CMOS and enabling the Windows boot manager for M.2 drives.

The issue appears when the PC is left off for extended periods. Now I can restart it 100 times and it boots perfectly. I don’t know what to do next. Could this suggest a problem with the motherboard? I ran two RAM tests, reinstalled Windows, and set the correct boot order—sometimes it boots at 2133Mhz and other times at 2667Mhz. Using XMP (3600Mhz) just causes it to restart again, requiring CMOS clearing. Any other suggestions?

Also, I installed a new battery and updated the BIOS.

P.S. Currently I set it to sleep mode and it keeps restarting repeatedly without booting.

Which BIOS version is installed?
Inspect for bent or discolored pins in the CPU socket on the motherboard
Test with another power supply unit
