The PC fails to start due to insufficient RAM from four memory sticks.
Has trouble starting my PC with four RAM sticks for a month. Recently managed to boot after turning on DOCP and adjusting memory settings. Today it still won’t start. I’m trying to use docp at 3600 with two identical kits but can’t get it to work. My system has AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, a motherboard with Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, and RAM from Asus and Gigabyte.
I just made a huge discovery! Initially, I could only boot with XMP enabled using two sticks. Then I tried using the two sticks from the same kit, and it worked. It seems I should mix and match components with adjusted timing for my four sticks. The first two sticks I bought in August last year cost $5.30, while the other two, bought in August this year, are $8.35.
5.30 uses Hynix MIC, 8.35 is from Nanya. Running four identical sticks for Ryzen is tough. Two completely different kits won't reach good speeds.
Yes, 2x16GB is offered. The options include 32GB models like Kingston Fury Beast RGB KF432C16BWAK2/32 or KF436C18BWAK2/32.
