I successfully increased my i7-7700k to 4.9ghz at 1.235V and ran a prime 95 stress test for ten minutes under 85°C conditions without any freezes or BSODs. This issue isn’t a problem for me. My concern is that every time I restart the computer—through BIOS, Windows, or drivers—it loses the video signal and behaves as if it’s restarting, but it never actually powers off. The problem only appeared after the overclocking, so I suspect it’s connected to that change. I’ve searched everywhere but found nothing, so I’m seeking advice. Thanks, everyone.

I would reinitialize your motherboard BIOS/CMOS. Proceed from there. Make sure your XMP settings match your RAM and verify all voltage levels.

However, the only changes I made were to the CPU core clock. I haven't even adjusted my XMP RAM profiles yet.

There are many factors involved in OC beyond just adjusting the multiplier and vcore, particularly at 4.9GHz. It's not stable if it doesn't boot properly. Prime95 is mainly for temperature checks and isn't suitable for stress testing because it lacks real communication between the CPU and other components like PCIe, USB, storage, and GPU. For more reliable stability testing, use Asus RealBench which evaluates all aspects.

The issue arises because the overclock fails if you cannot restart normally. Not adjusting memory settings indicates a lack of understanding about the PC's functioning. You might want to look for other users with comparable hardware and try replicating their successful overclocking. The specific hardware I have is unclear beyond that single component you mentioned.
