I purchased several components from a second-hand market such as an i7 2600, an i5 2400 and 15 GB of DDR3 RAM in various modules, all for 40 euros. Now I’m here as the final option before discarding everything. My equipment is failing to start or stop the CPU fan and never reaches BIOS. I have two PCs at home using 1155V: A (i3 2120) and B (Xeon 1260L). I checked the RAM in A and none of the modules worked. Switching to the module I usually use always boots. When I tried another RAM module, it worked. Then I tested the CPU—neither i7 nor i5 functioned. It happened the same with the fan not starting or stopping, no BIOS access. Installing an older i3 2130 fixed it. This made me frustrated and worried. I’m wondering if there’s a chance I was scammed. If you have any advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.
